Gale approves bottom curl handle mug 2. This mug is made from stoneware clay. It is thrown on the wheel, trimmed and decorated. This is a second as the glaze dripped a bit too much on the handle and had to be sanded - see photo. Only visible when looking at the bottom of the handle and doesn’t affect use.
It is bisque fired to 1000 degrees C and then hand painted in food safe glazes. It is then fired again to 1200 degrees C.
They are dishwasher safe but hand washing is strongly recommended!
