Making pottery as sustainably as possible is really important to me. Here are some of the things I do in the studio with the environment in mind:

• Energy - we have solar panels and the kiln is run using their energy wherever possible.

• Water - Any water I use is rain water collected from our water butt

• Waste - there is minimal to no waste in the process. All scrap clay is reclaimed and used again, if it has been fired it is used in the garden or given to people to make mosaics

• Packaging - when I send out orders I always use reused or recyclable packaging. Any packing peanuts are compostable or dissolve in water. If you see any bubble wrap in your parcel, it is reused.
